Direct export occurs when the selling company negotiates directly with the buyer located abroad. In other words, there is no middleman in the transaction.

Indirect export, in turn, is carried out through the intermediation of a firm. The national seller does not carry out the export itself, but sells to another company, located in the country, therefore, a sale in the domestic market, and the latter will carry out the export operation.

WHAT ARE NCM AND HS?

The NCM code and HS Code are numbers that each product has to know its true classification. A way to have security and know what is being imported.

All products that purchased from Brazil, need a specific coding to have the correct description of each merchandise. And the HS Code is a universal standard where everyone knows its specifications.

The HS Code is a universal code, through which you can find out which type of merchandise will be transported to another country. And this number is required for import.

The code has 8 digits, and for HS Code they are divided by sectors, to know what the classifications are for each type of merchandise. In which the first two digits are called chapters, the two next to the position, the other two sub-position and the rest is already suitable for the NCM coding.
